With this project, we'll add a new set up wizard that makes it easier to set the dates, locations, and time slots available for mini sessions. We'll also add a more intuitive display of the bookings and available slots for a given day.

** Request for future updates: would be great to keep the "Hold" spots and "Booked" spots visible on the booking page, as this accelerates sales for mini sessions. It gives clients an urgency to book if they see that many spots are already booked.

The database changes could not be applied in-place, so we have to take a 15 minute maintenance window at noon Eastern on Saturday, and then will publish the Mini Sessions release Monday morning. Sorry for the delay!

Would it be possible to share why this keeps getting delayed. In February it said eta was March, and each month the timeline slips. I totally understand that will happen, but could you possibly provide insight as to why? We are super excited for this feature, can't wait!

I’m excited about this and I will definitely try it but I will say that I just switched from Acuity to usesession and my mind is blown. Everything about usession is perfect right now. I’m even using it for a rather large event next month. 2000 fencers for the junior olympics. I can only hope that Tave’s version will be as nice. I’m hopeful.

I almost gave up on tave and went to usesessions. The only thing that held me back was a lack of a CRM. but honestly, Tave has been improving I am willing to wait it out another year. So far I am happy with the changes.

How is this different from a regular booking? What can't mini sessions just be booked on the regular unassisted booking page with set time slots? Am I missing something? :)

You can definitely book mini sessions using scheduling today!
What this will do is make it easier to have predefined time slots, including adding breaks, in a way that can be much more intuitive and easy to set up than trying to get the logic right with start increments and buffer times.
It's basically a wizard that helps you create and review the time slots in advance rather than them being auto generated, with some tools to make that easy. It also improves the reporting, for example we'll show a table with the time slots you're offering and who has booked which, if any are in the process of being booked, etc., rather than just a list of everybody who has ever booked the event.
